The Enterprise System Application Administrator will be responsible for the management, configuration, support, and optimization of enterprise applications that support core banking operations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of banking systems, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders and maintaining system compliance with industry standards.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
System Administration:
Administer Enterprise Applications:
Manage, configure, and maintain core banking systems, CRM platforms, and other enterprise applications critical to banking operations.
System Updates and Upgrades:
Perform regular updates, patches, and version upgrades for applications, ensuring all systems remain functional, secure, and optimized.
Backup Management:
Ensure that system backups are performed regularly and securely, verifying data integrity and restoring systems when necessary.
Performance Monitoring:
Proactively monitor the performance of enterprise applications, using system performance metrics and diagnostic tools to identify potential bottlenecks or issues.
Licensing and Vendor Management:
Manage application licensing, including renewals, audits, and compliance with vendor agreements, ensuring systems operate within legal and contractual boundaries.
Support and Troubleshooting:
Technical Support:
Provide support for internal teams and users by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to enterprise applications. Offer prompt responses and resolutions to minimize downtime.
Incident Management:
Track and manage incidents from an initial report through resolution, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Root Cause Analysis:
Investigate recurring issues and perform root cause analysis to address underlying system faults, improving long-term stability.
User Assistance:

Security Protocols:
Implement and enforce security measures such as access control, encryption, user authentication, and system auditing to protect sensitive financial data.
Data Integrity:
Maintain high standards for data integrity, conducting regular checks for data consistency and accuracy, ensuring that no unauthorized data modifications occur.
Audit Support:
Prepare and assist in regular audits, providing necessary system logs, security reports, and documentation to internal or external auditors as required.
System Integration:

Collaborate with other IT teams and external vendors to implement and support integrations between core banking systems and third-party services (e.g., payment gateways, loan management software, etc.).
Data Exchange:

Assist in the configuration and management of application programming interfaces (APIs) to facilitate integration with new systems and external partners.
Troubleshoot Integration Issues:
Identify and resolve issues that arise during system integration, whether caused by data mismatches, connectivity problems, or other technical obstacles.
Documentation and Training:
Documentation of System Configurations:
Maintain detailed records of all system configurations, changes, updates, and customizations for future reference and troubleshooting.
Process Documentation:
Document workflows, procedures, and best practices for system administration, troubleshooting, and user support to ensure consistency and transparency across the team.
User Training:
Develop and deliver training materials for end-users on how to effectively use banking applications, including new features and system updates.
Internal Knowledge Sharing:
Create internal knowledge-sharing resources such as FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and how-to documentation to empower staff and reduce dependency on IT support.
Continuous Improvement:

Regularly review system performance and identify opportunities for optimization, whether through tuning, new technologies, or enhanced configurations.
Implement automation scripts or tools where appropriate to streamline repetitive tasks such as backups, patching, and monitoring, reducing manual intervention.

Feedback Loop:

May require after hours or weekend availability for system updates or issue resolution.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
2+ years of experience in application administration, preferably in banking or financial services.
Proficiency in deposit system software (e.g., Jack Henry, FIS, or similar).
Knowledge of SQL for database queries and reporting.
Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance standards.
Experience with system integration and API configurations is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external vendors.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
High school diploma or equivalent.
