JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of the Global Deployment Network Engineer is to collaborate with the engineering teams to manage, develop, and test network configurations across platforms
Strong routing and switching skills, along with the fundamentals of troubleshooting on-site issues
Configurations of Layer 2 switches and routers
Must be able to audit routers, switches and end elements connected to LANs
Familiarity ofmon routing and switching protocols
Working knowledge with Microsoft Visio to develop and review drawings, Bill of Materials, IP Addressing and subnetting, VLAN assignments, implementation plans and instructions, and other procedures to assist network operations personnel
Ability to evaluate the administration and configuration of LAN/WAN implementations, additionally must have the ability to identify and correct issues along with perform updates and upgrades as necessary
Ability to analyze routers and switches to identify device mis-configurations andponent implementations that could present vulnerabilities and contribute to a false state of security
Must be able to perform equipment reconfigurations, and initial configurations
Skilled in multi-vendor firewall/VPN configuration and implementations
QUALIFICATIONS
Active Secret clearance
8570pliance certification required, CCNA or CCNP preferred
Ability to travel and live abroad for 6-7 months at a time supporting multiple Army sites
Minimum of 2 years of networking experience
Experience with VPN, Firewalls, Cisco, Aruba and/or Juniper, and STIGs
Preferred:
Previous CSfC experience
