Senior Network Engineer *Clearance, CCNP Required* Position Available In Montgomery, Alabama

Description Serve as a Router Team Operator for the 26th NOS. Oversee intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, boundary protection and vulnerability assessment operations to defend the Air Force Network (AFNet). Investigate and rectify malfunctions in network hardware and other systems to ensure service continuity. Meticulously monitor and manage all WAN circuits, ensuring optimal performance. Respond promptly to remote assistance requests from colleagues and service partners, providing expert technical support. Create and maintain comprehensive network support and implementation handover documentation for the Helpdesk. Manage assigned tasks and projects independently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines. Provide backup support to other team members as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Undertake any other assignments or duties as directed by management, demonstrating adaptability and versatility. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across multiple devices to include routers, switches, firewalls, and management systems. Understand and implement disaster recovery procedures. Experience interpreting, implementing, and assessing DISA STIGs Participate in the implementation of agreed upon solutions and strategies. Troubleshoot technology issues, using various internal and external resources. Generate innovative approaches and solutions to recurring tasks or problems. Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned tasks and projects. Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality.
