Job Description
The Network Security III (N-JRSS) Specialist will support the United States Air Force
AFINC III
program under the 26th Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS). The Network Security III role provides advanced support for enterprise boundary protection operations, cybersecurity service provider (CSSP) functions, and defensive cyberspace operations (DCO) across Air Force N-JRSS environments.
In this role you will:
- Install, monitor, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, harden, maintain, and operate intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, load balancers, and web proxies to protect AFNet resources from both internal and external threats according to DoD security standards
- Perform complex analytics on boundary protection systems to protect system assets from compromise, data loss, and other requirements
- Perform DCO and DODIN operations Required Clearance Must currently possess a verifiable DoD Secret Clearance. Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience with Enterprise DOD boundary protection and CSSP operations
- Must possess Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) IAT-II compliant through one of the following professional certifications: o CompTIA Security+ o GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) o SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner) o CCNA Security o CySA+ (Certified Cybersecurity Analyst) o CND (Certified Network Defender) C2 Essentials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
