The role involves developing network designs, creating diagrams, configuring equipment, and documenting requirements. The candidate will evaluate technologies for critical infrastructure, implement solutions for the NextGen objectives, and serve as an escalation point for problem resolution. Responsibilities include maintaining network excellence, defining best practices, identifying automation opportunities, and conducting system integration trials. Skills and Requirements 8+ years of network engineering experience with IP networks. 6+ years of experience in the design, development and implementation of IP and MPLS network architectures. Excellent IP configuration and troubleshooting skills to include PIM, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VPLS, VRFs, L3VPN and Ethernet (The person doesnt necessarily have to be an expert in all, but some of them.)
