Job Summary We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to play a critical role focused on the Network development of our advanced C4I battle management systems on ground vehicles for allied militaries around the world. These tactical mission systems are designed to provide ultra-reliable, on-the-move computing capability with the latest cyber secure technologies for mission-critical applications in harsh environments. In addition, the technology also delivers compatibility with other allied militaries using related Leonardo DRS systems, including the United States (MFoCS-II), United Kingdom (Bowman), Australia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.
You will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is for a systems engineer specializing in Network development; responsible for network architecture design, complex network development, end-to-end testing, and training/installation support. This position is located on-site at our Melbourne, FL facility (hybrid work schedule). Job Responsibilities Responsible for network architecture design, complex network development, end-to-end testing, and training/installation support. Develop scalable network solution designs that align with various customer requirements and hardware and software component configurations. Each network may include radios, satellite, Voice over IP (VoIP), cameras, sensors, routers, switches, computers, workstations, servers, storage, and more. Support and possibly lead the buildout of System Integration Lab (SIL) environments, network integration and testing, problem resolution, and training/fielding support. Work with stakeholders, product owners, development teams, and production teams, developing system level CONOPs and system requirements.
Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel. Job Responsibilities Part II Qualifications Experience with C4I Network computing, integrated situational awareness, and combat vehicle integration products and services is strongly desired
