Shift:
First Shift (United States of America) Business Field Engineer. Nebraska Medicine. 600 South 42nd Street, Omaha, NE 68198. Provide business and technical application system administration services for implementation, support and maintenance of net new technologies/systems piloted in the Innovation Design Unit. Provide hardware and system field support and troubleshooting. Understand the end-to-end system workflow and integration points and serve as a liaison with collaborating technical teams. Assist with enterprise wide system expansion. Apply knowledge of engineering, computer science, and biomechanical principles to the design, development, and evaluation of biological and health systems and products. Install, maintain, and provide support for biomedical equipment. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, Informatics, Biodmedical engineering or related required plus 60 months of experience in information technology required. Must have knowledge of connector types, cables, and signal pathways. Knowledge of Ethernet, WiFi, and other networking technologies including network protocols, and communication standards. Understanding of network security practices. Ability to analyze, organize, assign and problem solve and diagnose issues and escalate to I.T. team. Monday-Friday. 7:30am-4:30pm.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years IT experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, informatics or related area required.
- Knowledge of several types of connectors, cables, and signal pathways required.
- Experience with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and other networking technologies including network protocols, and communication standards required.
- Understanding of network security practices required.
- Ability to diagnose issues and escalate to the appropriate accountable IT team when necessary required.
- Ability to successfully analyze, organize, assign, and problem solve at the highest level required.
- Ability to work independently, achieve established deadlines and take initiative on multiple projects required.
- Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, both oral and written required.
- Knowledge of general office equipment and Microsoft Office applications required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience with the following systems preferred: RTLS (Real Time Locating System), Patient Experience, Traditional Workstations, Audio Visual Systems, Ambient voice assistant, Predictive analytics, Artificial intelligence, Virtual Nursing.
