Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Specialist to manage fiber testing, troubleshooting, and remote logging into routers and switches across multiple data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation, data center, central office, or lab environments, and will be proficient in Cisco or Nokia routers. •This is a long-term W2 contract opportunity!• This job will have the following responsibilities: Manage fiber testing between devices and troubleshoot remotely by logging into routers and switches. Perform a lot of fiber optic adds. Write and review Layer 1 MOPs during the day. Utilize Cisco or Nokia routers, with proficiency in CCNA or CCNP. Demonstrate a good work ethic and ability to provide updates, track progress, and manage projects. Quickly adapt and collaborate with team members. Execute commands on devices and install firewalls as needed. Test circuits and integrate them into the network. Build capacity fibers and work through regional requirements. Perform pre-post checks on routers/devices during maintenance windows. Manage multiple jobs per maintenance window.

Qualifications & Requirements:

CCNA or CCNP certification. Strong work ethic and ability to provide updates, track progress, and manage projects. Ability to quickly adapt and collaborate with team members. Proficiency in executing commands on devices and installing firewalls. Background in installation, data center, central office, or lab environments. Design experience is a plus. Proficiency in Cisco routing and switching; Nokia-7750 experience is a plus. NOC background with strong troubleshooting skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
