Contract in Doral, Florida. The Journeyman Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst monitors and analyzes network infrastructure to detect and respond to network performance issues, outages, and service disruptions in real-time. This role serves as a mid-level technician who helps ensure high availability and performance of infrastructure by identifying, analyzing, and escalating incidents, and coordinating with Tier III support and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for network incidents, diagnosing and resolving issues related to connectivity, hardware, and software failures Works with network engineers to escalate complex issues or outages, providing necessary information and logs to facilitate swift resolution Continuously tracks and logs network events, incidents, and service requests, documenting resolutions and follow-up actions for future reference Performs routine checks on network devices and systems, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact network performance Assists in the maintenance of NOC monitoring tools, configuring devices, alarms, and alerts to monitor the entire network environment Collaborates with other IT teams to execute routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patch management, and device reboots, with minimal service disruption Provides support to other NOC analysts and junior staff, offering guidance on troubleshooting and incident resolution techniques Analyzes network data and performance metrics to detect anomalies, proactively resolving issues and improving network efficiency Coordinates with security teams to monitor and respond to security incidents that may impact network services or performance

Required:

Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 4-9 years of experience in a NOC, help desk or IT operations role Intermediate understanding of network protocols, routing switching and systems administration Familiarity with both Windows and Linux-based server environments Strong problem solving and communication skills

Desired:

Bachelor’s degree in related field Experience working in a DoD or government IT environment Familiarity with Virtualization technologies Experience with cloud environments Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and monitoring practices Knowledge of STIGs and DoD compliance standards ITIL v4 Foundations CompTIA Network+ Cisco Certified Network Associate Microsoft AZ 900 or 102

Clearance:

Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a

TS/SCI Certification:

DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role CompTIA Security+
