Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Principal Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role requires deep technical expertise in network architecture, security, and performance, as well as strong leadership and project management skills. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical authority and mentor within the network engineering team, driving innovation and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our global network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and architect complex enterprise network solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking.
Lead the implementation and maintenance of high-availability, secure, and scalable network infrastructure.
Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and tools to improve performance and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, cloud, and application teams to align network strategies with business goals.
Troubleshoot and resolve high-level network issues and outages, ensuring minimal downtime.
Develop and enforce network policies, standards, and best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement of network hardware and services.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
10+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal role.
Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP).
Strong experience with firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and network security tools.
Proficiency in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Hands-on experience with SD-WAN, network automation (Python, Ansible), and monitoring tools.
Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIE, or AWS Advanced Networking are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with network virtualization (e.g., VMware NSX).
Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and SASE frameworks.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
