Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced HP-UX Administrator with strong expertise in VMware Virtualization and EMC Storage (VNX/VRTX) for a contract role. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in data-center environments , managing server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and storage systems to ensure high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain HP-UX environments, including system installation, patching, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Manage and support VMware virtualization infrastructure including vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter, and VM provisioning. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot EMC storage systems (VNX, VRTX). Perform regular backups, system health checks, and proactive monitoring of servers and storage devices. Work on server provisioning, migrations, and system upgrades within the data center. Collaborate with the network, application, and security teams for issue resolution and project delivery. Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and change management. Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during off-hours for critical incidents or maintenance windows.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience in HP-UX system administration . Strong hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter). Expertise in managing and supporting

EMC VNX / VRTX

storage solutions. Solid understanding of data center operations , including power, cooling, and hardware racking. Experience in scripting (Shell, Bash, etc.) for automation and task scheduling. Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems like ServiceNow. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

HP-UX Certification or VMware VCP certification. Experience with backup tools (e.g., NetBackup, Veeam).
