Work Setting:
100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client
Required:
- Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Palm Beach Gardens, FL (required);
- Experience working in solar (5+ years);
- Experience with electrical system modeling software (PSSE, PSCAD, SKM, ETAP, etc.);
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in other engineering discipline with equivalent experience with electrical systems
Preferred:
- Experience with arc flash modeling (5+ years);
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering;
- Advanced modeling with ETAP software
Responsibilities :
- Modelling and analysis of solar and battery sites using ETAP software and performing AC and DC system arc flash studies and reviews of studies performed by external engineers.
- Ensure consistent application of arc flash study standards, and continuously improve the standards as industry knowledge advances
- Leading root-cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures at solar and battery sites, and aiding field technicians with troubleshooting inverter and other issues
- Support the development of countermeasures for recurring issues
- Support responses to regulatory bodies for data requests
- Support component failure rate analysis and development of capital part replacements and work plans Why apply?
