OverviewJob PurposeThe Storage Engineer is responsible forsupporting and maintaining availability and high-performance of alldisk storage and SAN switch non-production, and productionenvironments. This individual works as part of a results-oriented,service-delivery team and supports other storage engineering andoperations teams. Additionally, the Storage Administratorparticipates in root cause analysis of problems, identifies areasfor process improvement, remediates issues, and executes tasks todeliver on project-based initiatives.
Responsibilities Provide L2 support for all disk storage related issues acrossthe enterprise Respond to and assist in production operations in a 24/7environment Provide support to, and coordinate with internal users,operations staff, and vendor resources for root cause on issue Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours supportbased on escalations Provide technical analysis, resolve problems, and proposesolutions Participate as a resource for project driven initiatives Identification and automation of manual tasks using scriptingand application developmentKnowledge and Experience Mid-level experience with a variety of disk storage subsystemsand SAN switches including Hitachi, Nimble, NetApp, Qumulo andBrocade. Deep understanding of SCSI, NFS and CIFS protocols Disk Storage configuration management experience Hands on experience with storage-based replicationtechnologies Automation tools Good English speaking and written skills Top-tier critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a service-oriented team environment Project Management, organization, and time management Customer focused, and dedicated to the best possible userexperience Able to communicate effectively with both technical andbusiness resourcesIntercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an EqualOpportunity Employer.
