US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work inthe U.S. Job Purpose The Network Engineer will ensure network configuration,installation, availability, and scalability to individualrequirements, contribute to Client -s network strategy, consult andsupport IT teams as well as business units around all networkrelated initiatives and projects. The Network Engineer will act as a network technologyrepresentative in all portfolio projects, guiding stakeholders todesign their requirements in line with global technologystrategy. The Network Engineer will be part of the enterprise networking teamand ensure that projects and initiatives align with networkstandards and strategies. It is important that they can workindependently with minimal direction and take accountability. TheNetwork Engineer will also be part of Client -s 2 nd Level Supportand escalation process, with focus on network technologies. Job Context & Major Challenges Deliver a world class network service delivery, to allow Client toleverage latest technologies as these align with industry bestpractices. Enable Client to improve and maintain a networkinfrastructure, focusing on modern manufacturing industry and havea good understanding of IT/OT services. Network lifecyclemanagement of Client Standard equipment Maintain valid ServiceContracts on all equipment Plan and process replacements according to manufacturers/Clientslife cycle announcements Strong analytical network troubleshooting skills and proficiencywith packet capture tools. Participate in ongoing demand analysis and network improvementinitiatives. Optimization, Management and Troubleshooting LAN (Cisco and CiscoMeraki), VLAN, STP/RSTP, DNS, DHCP, IPAM and L1/L2 issues. Wireless LAN (Cisco and Cisco Meraki) Firewalls (Fortinet) Data connections (SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN) Plan, present and process network infrastructure initiatives Maintaining and implementation of new network standards andprocesses Management of medium sized local network projects Documentation Changes Architecture Problems Ensure network availability. Able to work independently. Accountability Responsible for the availability of Client -s networkinfrastructure, contribution on solution design as well as itsadherence. Contribute to the definition and documentation of allpolicies and procedures, standards, design, and business rulesrelated to network technologies. Avoid technical debt by developing reusable and scalablesolutions. Improve and maintain performance, security, reliability,operations, technology, and interoperability requirements toproduce high level and scalable design deliverables. Contribute to enterprise network technical strategy and define anddocument solution architecture(s) including technical designs anddiagrams. Design and deploy dynamically scalable and highly availableservices using Client -s network standards, to enable Client -scloud strategy. Participate in every aspect of the development and operationalareas and design cloud network connectivity architecture. Create conceptual, logical, and physical design for networksolutions for infrastructure and platforms. Research, analyze, recommend, and select technical approaches forsolving difficult and challenging development and integrationproblems. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree within InformationTechnology field of study, or equivalent work experience Production level experience migrating and deploying current Clientstandard solutions. 5+ years of experience with Meraki/Cisco technologies and servicessuch as switching and routing, firewall management, TCP/IPnetworking, VLAN Management, LAN/Wireless LAN, Spanning Tree issueresolution. Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment includingSwitches, Wireless Controllers, Access points, Firewalls, DNS andDHCP. Strong experience with

CISCO Meraki Switching:

STP, RSTP, MST, LANtuning/protection, VTP, VLANs and 802.1Q trunk, strongunderstanding of

MAC /CAM/ ARP

tables is a must. Proficient with addressing mechanisms (DNS, DHCP, IPAM, orsimilar), and with L1 technologies (SMF, MMF, DWDM,Transceivers) Proficient in packet analysis (Wireshark), Troubleshoot packetdecode on TCP and UDP, Experience with performance analysis,troubleshooting and remediation techniques. In-depth experience with cabling technologies – Category 5,Category 6A, Single & Multi-Mode Fiber Deep product knowledge and understanding of Meraki/Cisco productfeatures including Disaster Recovery, Internet of Things,Monitoring, and remote Management. Knowledge of ITIL Change & Configuration Management. 3+ years of experience architecting and developing complex highavailability network designs. Exceptional problem-solving and crisis management skills andability to work independently/within a team. Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information. Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when facedwith high workloads and deadlines. Able to independently identify challenges and demonstrate approachto solutions.
