About the Role
TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Network Engineer – SME to support a high-impact federal program in Cambridge, MA. This is a hands-on, expert-level role focused on designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures in a secure, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 across enterprise networks.
Manage and maintain Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) environments.
Design, implement, and troubleshoot advanced network architectures.
Collaborate with IT teams and application owners to ensure network stability and scalability.
Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and change management processes.
Integrate physical and virtual network environments.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture.
Expertise in:
Cisco ISE
Palo Alto Firewalls
Cisco Firepower VPN
Cisco

ACI & DNAC

IPv6, DHCP, DNS, VPN, MPLS, MTIPS
BGP, EIGRP, QoS
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Cisco CCIE Certification.
Experience with virtualization networking technologies.
Prior experience supporting federal government agencies. (but not required)
Additional Requirements
Must be able to work on a W2 with at least 3 years of U.S. residency.
Must be able to complete the eApp National Investigation Services (NBIS) form.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (2-3 month process).
Must have excellent communication skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72.11 – $79.32/hr.
