Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud-based virtual desktop infrastructure. You will be responsible for architecting and supporting scalable, secure, and high-performing AVD environments that meet the evolving needs of our users across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
Lead architecture discussions and provide expert guidance on AVD, Windows 365, and related Microsoft Azure services.
Configure and optimize session hosts, profiles, app groups, and user experience settings.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for AVD provisioning and scaling (PowerShell, Terraform).
Monitor performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other tools.
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to governance policies.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning for AVD and end-user environments.
Lead migration efforts from on-premises or other VDI platforms to Azure.
Stay current on Microsoft Azure updates, AVD best practices, and evolving cloud technologies.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or end-user computing roles, with at least 2 years focused on Azure Virtual Desktop or similar VDI platforms. Deep hands-on experience with AVD architecture, including host pools, session hosts, and MSIX app attach.
