- About this role:
- Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who will play a pivotal role in our API security and management initiatives.
You will lead a team of talented engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of next generation API solutioning. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the security and efficiency of our API ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead the development and implementation of modern API solution. + Enable automated API threat assessments and evidence validation. + Ensure tooling is in place to address API vulnerabilities and manage risk factors throughout the API lifecycle. + Collaborate with application owners and architects to implement highly efficient and scalable API architecture. + Oversee the migration of legacy integrations to modern API framework using next generation enterprise pipeline (EPL) integration tools. + Drive automation and seamless integration with API portal. + Drive modernization of asynchronous messaging integration pattern. + Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Required Qualifications:
- + 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + 5+ years of hands-on experience in development and solutioning using IBM DataPower + 2+ years of hands-on experience with APIGEE development and solutioning + 2+ years of experience in message systems like IBM MQ and Kafka and integration experience using DataPower + 2+ years of Knowledge on network components like Load balancers, Firewalls and Proxies •
Desired Qualifications:
- + Proven experience in software engineering, with a focus on API security, development and implementation using IBM DataPower + Proficiency with using CI/CD pipeline for development and deployment + Experience working with
APIGEE APIM
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. + Strong leadership and communication skills.

Job Expectations:
- + Solutioning and implementation of APIs using the DataPower and
APIGEE API
products. + Lead the modernization of DataPower services and migration to APIGEE or another approved platform. + New framework development and migration of services to new framework + Working with teams across various regions and zones with flexibility + Mentoring and guiding the team for success + Handle the escalations and production support as needed + Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection measures. + Asynchronous solution using DataPower, MQ, Kafka and Solace + Ability to drive innovation and experimentation in API integration solutions. +
