This role involves designing, planning, and implementing network infrastructure projects, supporting Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia equipment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and performance optimization, handling P1-P2 tickets in your first year, covering issues such as outages and impairments that are customer-facing. Responsibilities Design, plan, and implement network infrastructure projects Support and maintain Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia equipment Troubleshoot and optimize network performance Handle P1-P2 tickets, addressing customer-facing issues Perform code upgrades, Cost Optimized Latency Aware Placement (COLAP), and customer migrations Work on single customer issues and escalate to senior team members when necessary Ramp up over 3-4 months to integrate into the environment and aim to reach senior team expertise
Required Skills Juniper:
3-5 years of strong experience with Route/Switch, Troubleshooting, Network upgrades (NJCIA or JNCIS certifications required)
Nokia Devices:
Experience with Nokia equipment
ISP Experience:
Previous experience working for a large internet service provider (e.g., Comcast, Verizon, AT&T) Nice to Have Experience with Ciena and Cisco equipment Worksite Address Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, 28273 Work Environment On-site five days a week for the first month, then transitioning to a 4 days on-site and 1 day remote schedule Night maintenance on Tuesdays Collaboration with Senior Network Engineers Exposure to higher-level network engineering activities (strategy & design support) after the first year Qualifications Go-getter mentality Self-paced driver Excellent problem-solving skills Interview Information Two Rounds Impact to the Internal/External Customer Network engineers play a crucial role in maintaining business operations.
