Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network/System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for Deployment, Middleware and Environment Management for Lower-Level test Environment, keeping the environment pristine and as production like as possible
Work closely with Technology Infrastructure Teams, Development & Testing Teams in supporting Integrated / Independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, server upgrades, etc.
Perform troubleshooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and programming skills
Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and problems including single user and branch issues escalated by Advisory users
Partner with and build subject matter expert teams to identify cause and resolution to escalations w root cause/issue is caused by technology supported by partner teams
Provide monitoring of the environment during release or independent change and tracks changes to the production environment
Look for areas of improvement in monitoring, application stability, and speed of determining root cause
Manage changes, defects, and projects across various testing and PROD environments
Defect triage of issues in the application testing environments
Deployment of code and/or retrofit of production code
Communicate to clients and/or consult on design of infrastructure
Rebuild servers
Work side by side with testers and developers to ensure all are working cohesively
System patching
Technical documentation
Partnership andmunications with internal customers and partner teams

Requirements:

Ability to debug and troubleshoot performance and software issues
Able to handle multiple tasks/projects and adapt to a constantly changing environment
Ability to work independently and within a team
