To read more about what our tech team does, be sure to visit our tech blog at ally.techThe Associate Engineer – Cyber Security position at Ally is a member of the Information Protection and Risk Management team and works closely with other members of the IPRM program to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive approach to the management of security risks at Ally. The Associate Engineer – Cyber Security works with a team of security engineers within the IPRM Department to deploy, sustain and monitor technical controls and tools to meet specific security requirements, and defines processes and standards to ensure that security configurations and tools are maintained.

- The Work Itself
- Primary responsibility will be support of security controls and security projects with potential to take on responsibilities for technologies such as Firewalls, IPS, Database monitoring, Content proxies, Anti-virus, and SIEM.
- Uses a broad and deep understanding of business and/or technical concepts in multiple specialized fields to develop solutions to problems and design issues.
- Work assignments are typically focused on key products for the organization.

Required Qualifications:
- 0-1 years of experience in Python programming and related automation.
- 0-1 years of experience in building and implementing ML models to solve business problems.
- 0-1 years of experience in data engineering and/or data analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Sciences, or relevant experience.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to integrate multiple tools and APIs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Expertise in cloud-native technologies and implementation patterns to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative work environments.
