DNS/DHCP/IPAM
Network Engineer is responsible for the management, configuration, and optimization of DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) services within the organization. This role involves maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring high availability of services, and implementing best practices for DNS resolution, IP address assignment, and address space management.
HOW A DNS/DHCP/IPAM NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
DNS Management:
Configure and manage DNS servers, zones, and records.
Ensure DNS resolution is reliable and responsive.
Implement DNS security measures such as DNSSEC and DDoS protection.
DHCP Administration:
Maintain DHCP servers and address pools.
Monitor and manage IP address assignments and lease durations.
Troubleshoot DHCP issues and optimize address allocation.
IPAM Operations:
Perform IP address planning, allocation, and tracking.
Manage IP address space and subnets using IPAM tools.
Ensure accurate IP address utilization and reporting.
Network Infrastructure Support:
Collaborate with network engineers and administrators to integrate DDI services with the network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues related to DNS and DHCP services.
Participate in network design and optimization projects.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security policies for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain up-to-date documentation of DDI configurations, changes, and procedures.
Incident Response and Resolution:
Respond to incidents related to DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services in a timely manner.
Diagnose and resolve service disruptions, outages, or performance issues.
Escalate critical issues to higher support levels as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
Certifications:
Certification in networking technologies (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) preferred but not required
Required Experience:
3+ years of hands-on network experience
Required Skills & Abilities:
Experience with DDI platforms, such as BlueCat
Proficiency in DNS, DHCP, and IP address management principles and protocols.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in troubleshooting network issues.
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, encryption protocols, and security best practices.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience with APIs, scripting, and Splunk data flows. Preferred Perl, Python and JavaScript
Linux administration to include scripting and file system management

Hybrid (4 days onsite | 1 day remote)
Raleigh, NC Security Clearance Level:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.

•Cisco Travel Required Less than 10% Salary and Benefit Information The likely salary range for this position is $74,716•$101,086. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
