Job description Infosys Public Services is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team. Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative): Configure, manage, and maintain DNS servers, zones, and records to ensure reliable and responsive DNS resolution.
Administer DHCP servers and address pools, managing IP address assignments and lease durations, and optimizing address allocation.
Perform IP address planning, allocation, and tracking, managing IP address space and subnets using IPAM tools, and ensuring accurate IP address utilization and reporting.
Collaborate with network engineers and administrators to integrate DDI services seamlessly with the network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues related to DNS and DHCP services, and implement effective solutions.
Participate in network design and optimization projects, contributing DDI expertise to enhance overall network performance.
Implement and enforce security policies for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services, ensuringpliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
Maintainprehensive and up-to-date documentation of DDI configurations, changes, and operational procedures.
Respond promptly to incidents related to DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services, diagnosing and resolving service disruptions, outages, or performance issues, and escalating critical issues as needed.
Required Skills:
3 years of hands-on experience in DDI administration, with a strong focus on DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
Proven ability to configure and manage DNS servers, zones, and records.
Solid experience in administering DHCP servers and address pools.
Proficiency in IP address planning, allocation, and tracking.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and its integration with DDI services.
Experience implementing and enforcing security policies for DDI services.
Excellent troubleshooting skills related to DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
Ability to maintain clear and accurate documentation.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with DDI platforms, preferably BlueCat.
Deep understanding of DNS, DHCP, and IP address management principles and protocols.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in troubleshootingplex network issues.
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, encryption protocols, and security best practices relevant to network services.
Effectivemunication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications in networking technologies (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+).
Experience with APIs, scripting (Perl, Python, JavaScript), and data flow management (e.g., Splunk).
Familiarity with Linux administration, including scripting and file system management.
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. The job entails sitting and working at aputer for extended periods. Should be able tomunicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
