Network Security Specialist (Permanent)

$80,000•$85,000 per annum (with benefits)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Network Security Specialist to lead the design, deployment, and support of Bluecoat (Broadcom) security solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in proxy technologies, particularly with Symantec BlueCoat products, and a deep understanding of network protocols and security architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead assessment, design, and technical implementation of Bluecoat (Broadcom) product platforms. Define and document solution requirements aligned with business and technical objectives. Design and implement both pilot and production architectures based on success criteria. Develop and maintain proxy policies, including SSL interception in integrated PKI environments. Manage proxy authentication methods in domain environments. Execute production deployments and ensure successful implementation. Perform root cause analysis and lead troubleshooting for production environments. Act as the liaison between clients and Symantec/Broadcom Support. Report technical issues and anomalies through appropriate channels. Provide timely incident status updates and performance reports. Support deployment and day-to-day security operations tasks. Ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Technical Experience:

Required:

7+ years of experience supporting BlueCoat/Proxy solutions in large-scale networks. Strong hands-on expertise in HTTP proxy configuration, integration, and administration•Broadcom Bluecoat preferred. Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, and proxy architecture. Experience with Symantec BlueCoat product suite, including: Advanced Secure Gateway (ASG/SG) Management Center Reporter Web Security Services Knowledge of network, protocol, and application traffic flows. Additional Experience with

IT Technologies:

SNMP, Syslog, PKI, HSM, VPN.

Desired:

Experience with APIs, scripting (Perl, Python, JavaScript), and Splunk data ingestion. Understanding of HTTP proxies, including circuit gateways. Familiarity with application layer protocols such as

HTTP, SSH, SSL.
