Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead network related projects to continuously improve enterprise network architecture. Ensure network setup for new sites are configured according to design requirements, on-time, tested with internal/external teams, and complete support documentation for support teams. Ensure the stable operation of network including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing company networks. Work with remote network engineers to support networking and telecom needs of partner companies while working toward centralizing networking services. Act as the level 3 support for issues that cannot be resolved by other support tiers. Hands-on experience in Cisco routers and switches (Catalyst and Nexus series), Palo Alto firewalls, SDWAN, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), load balancing, manage and design network infrastructures, and configuring enterprise LAN, WAN, and VPN technologies. Knowledge of network protocols (802.1q, 802.1x, STP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, PAGP, LACP, VRRP, etc.) and experience implementing protocols in an enterprise network. Experience supporting with MPLS, Metro Ethernet, SDWAN, IPSec, Remote VPN, and Wireless. Working knowledge of ACLs, Etherchannels, IPSEC, QoS, Spanning Tree (STP), VLANs, VTP, CIDR, VoIP, and NAT. Design, deploy, and maintain network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, VPN appliances, load balancers, wireless, and telecommunication devices. Knowledge of Cisco Viptela SDWAN, Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), and cloud networking is a plus. Experience managing data/voice networking relationships with Managed Service vendors and multiple ISPs to escalate issues when appropriate and drive enterprise projects. Assist clients in the daily maintenance of voice and data network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Wireless, VoIP, and NICs. Develop and maintain network documentation including system design, high/low level drawings, configuration standards, procedure manuals, and infrastructure architecture. Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues, and progress toward goals. Provide capacity, performance, uptime, and security reporting as requested. Implement industry best practices in terms of availability planning, scalability, and change management. Leverage the use of workflow ticketing systems such as ServiceNow. Communicate to business clients, technical teams, and management in a consistent manner to make complex technical issues and solutions clear, simple, and understandable. Work closely with other members of the Information Technology Department to assist with project implementations and other tasks as requested. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced, multi-business environment.
