Branch Network Director (Global Network Engineering)
Location:
NJ/NY. Charlotte. NC, Atlanta, GA
Essential Functions:
Provide strategic leadership, management, and oversight of the network engineering team with minimal supervision. Direct network design activities and project related work while aligning with the goals of Global Network Services leadership team. Provide oversight of network build activities with the company s Managed Service providers. Responsible for fiscal planning and budgeting activities.
Essential Experience – architecture: In collaboration with the Global Infrastructure teams, determine and develop architectural approaches and solutions, with a forward-looking view to new technologies in support of the enterprise technology transformation goals and objectives. Provide oversight for the architectural designs of the infrastructure and insure the alignment with global business needs and initiatives.
This leadership role is responsible for the design, planning and support of the Branch data network solutions that are consistent with the global vision/strategy and aligned to business requirements.
Business case development and financial / expense mgmt.
Work in a cross-organizational setting to ratify services and use-cases across the global enterprise.
Manage an outsource model for build and operational support.
The candidate must demonstrate experience working with business leaders to analyze use cases, develop technology strategy, and evaluate potential service offerings to support their global presence.
Develop high-level design documentation in accordance with our Global Standards and Lifecycle management process.
Develops strategies to automate repetitive tasks to reduce time of delivery.
Provides direction to support certifications of existing and emerging technologies.
Identifies and collaborates to leverage best practices across engineering/operations staff as well as within peer teams.
Supports project deliverables and outcomes.
Collaborate with customers and functional peer groups.
Responsible to fully document requirements and technical concepts/procedures and cross trains others in this area.
Requirements:
15+ years of experience in enterprise Network Branch Design, Delivery and Support. Expert-level knowledge in local and wide are routing and switching technologies using Juniper, Cisco, Meraki, and Arista products.
Expert-level knowledge in wireless technologies used in branch deployments including Juniper Mist, Cisco Prime, Meraki, and LTE products
Strong expertise in software defined network solutions design and network automation tools for zero touch deployments.
Strong expertise in operational management platforms and telemetry tools including NetScout, Broadcom CA, Logzilla & Splunk.
Knowledge of out of band network solution design using Avocent & Opengear products.
Demonstrates expert level experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio/Project).
Able to develop self and others through coaching, contributing to team success, continuously learning and sharing knowledge.
Ability to document and formally present technical solutions. Able to interact with vendors to understand the product/technology lifecycle, follow end-of-life and provide recommendation for changes/upgrades.
Demonstrates tactical and strategic ownership related to the management and support of assigned infrastructure areas participating in initiatives to maintain a secure and effective global technical infrastructure service.
Demonstrates high analytical skills and self-motivated/directed.
Applies standards consistently across all solutions.
Demonstrates senior level technical skills and ability to successfully complete and standardize complex, non-routine contact center designs to provide consistent customer service experience.
Demonstrates strategic foresight while employing hands-on technical skills on projects and work assignments.
Demonstrates ability to develop, organize and analyze performance metrics in their given function. Demonstrates ability to develop, communicate and educate on standard operating procedures within their given function.
Must possess extreme professionalism, customer service attitude, attention to detail/quality, ability to multitask, team focus, strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal/written communication skills.
Demonstrates ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and take direction from multiple areas.
