JobSummary:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be expected todemonstrate professional expertise in designing, building, andsupporting enterprise IT environments. You should possess in-depthknowledge of managing and supporting Microsoft Azure,SonicWALL/Fortinet firewalls, and Windows Server. Additionally, youwill be responsible for automating tasks using PowerShell andPython. You will be a part of a team of three engineers responsiblefor supporting cloud environments, server systems, and networkinfrastructure. You will also provide second and third-levelsupport to the help desk, ensuring seamless IT operations. Thisrole requires strong documentation practices and effectivecommunication across the organization.

Essential Functions:

1.Mastery. Provide technical expertise at the highest level,developing strategies and directions for network solutionsutilizing current and emerging technologies. Translate businessrequirements into effective network or process designs. 2.Responsible for high- and low-level network planning, design, andoptimization. Develop, implement, and enforce corporate policies,standards, and guidelines that are aligned with the company’sstrategic business objectives as they pertain to the corporatenetwork. 3. Innovation. Plan and recommend network hardware,systems management software, and architecture. 4. Build, configure,and maintain network switches, routers, access points, and variousvoice appliances. 5. Monitor network performance, ensuring capacityplanning is conducted, and proactively assess and recommendimprovements. Employ continuous improvement techniques to maximizethe performance, security, and availability of the networkinfrastructure. 6. Ownership and caring. Ensure that the networkenvironment maintains appropriate recovery protocols and addressesredundancy issues. 7. Effectively prioritize network faults,diagnose and resolve issues promptly, and maintain composure underpressure from various impacted business groups. 8. Provide design,implementation, and operational support for VoIP telephony systems,as well as for Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azureenvironments. 9. Communication. Coordinate with sites to facilitatetechnician training for new hardware. Responsible for the dailymonitoring and management of IP network appliances. 10. Developsand follows procedures to handle network fault events. Performsystem-wide/cross-functional team management. 11. Plan and managesmall to large-scale projects. Maintain all documentation regardingnetwork infrastructure. Responsible for solving highly technicaland complex network-related issues.

Requirements, Education, andExperience:

1. Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Apple, and Linuxoperating systems. 2. Strong knowledge of networking, specificallyHPE/Aruba switches and Fortinet firewalls. 3. Familiarity withFortinet FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer is aplus. 4. Expertise in Azure Cloud networking and server components.5. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and complementarysolutions. 6. Solid grasp of network standards and best practices.7. Practical experience with PowerShell scripting to automate tasksand processes. 8. Fundamental networking knowledge, includingTCP/IP, firewalls, and network routing. 9. Experience with VoIPsystems, specifically Sangoma VoIP Telephony, is a plus. 10.Ability to assess the risks of network maintenance outages andunderstand the consequences of such actions. 11. Commitment tostaying updated on technological changes and advancements in ITinfrastructure. 12. Strong written and verbal communication skills.13. Effective collaboration within a team environment. 14. Solidunderstanding of IT ticketing systems, their functionality, and theimportance of daily ticket updates. 15. As a senior IT role, youwill be expected to train and mentor other IT staff in your areasof expertise. 16. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Engineering, or a related technical/business discipline (orequivalent experience). 17. Minimum of 5 years of quality technicalexperience (or 10 years of directly related experience fornon-degree holders). 18. Microsoft 365

This job operates in a professionaloffice environment. This role routinely uses standard officeequipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. This is mostlysedentary, outside of travel, in an office space. It requires theability to sit at a desk and also involves frequent walking,bending, or standing, as necessary. In addition, this positionrequires the ability to lift 25 lbs. or more and requires pulling,bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, and reaching.
