Working in a remote environment, they are looking to hire a Logical DB2 DBA Engineer on a contract-to-hire basis. This position will be joining our client to assist on a project with their client who is leading the way for advancement in health and technology. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of DB2 database management on IBM iSeries systems, focusing on logical data modeling, virtualization, and system optimization. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining logical data structures, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.

Contract Duration:

6-month Contract-to-Hire Required Skills & Experience Logical DBA DB2 Engineer experience with strong iSeries (AS/400) expertise Proficiency in CL, SQL, DDS, and other relevant scripting/programming languages Familiarity with IBM Navigator for i, Rational Developer for i, and other iSeries tools. Desired Skills & Experience IBM Certified Database Administrator – DB2 for iSeries Familiarity with cloud hosting and virtualized environments Knowledge of integration with enterprise applications or middleware What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown DB2 IBM iSeries (AS/400) Scripting/Programming languages Daily Responsibilities Design and develop logical data models, views, and schemas for DB2 on IBM iSeries. Install, configure, and maintain DB2 databases within iSeries environments. Optimize database performance through tuning SQL queries, indexes, and system parameters. Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and business teams on data-related initiatives.
