Scripting Computer networking Linux Senior level Python Full Job Description Servicepoint is seeking a highly skilled Network Management Specialist for a 3-6 month contract opportunity located in Midtown Manhattan. This fully onsite role is ideal for a candidate with deep hands-on experience in EfficientIP (EIP) and Netbox , and who can also contribute to broader automation tasks using tools like Python, Ansible , and Jinja . The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, highly detail-oriented, and able to manage synchronization and integration across multiple network tools.
Primary Responsibilities:
EfficientIP (EIP): Build and optimize network configurations in EIP’s IPAM system. Perform block/subnet corrections, manage KV attributes, and resolve inheritance issues. Design and implement hierarchical IP structures (e.g., supernets by function, reservations by site, subnets by device). Ensure synchronization between EIP and tools like IP Fabric , Netbox , and DHCP servers .
Netbox:
Install, configure, and administer Netbox, requiring knowledge of Linux and PostgreSQL . Maintain data synchronization with EIP and IP Fabric. Develop and support internal reservation tools and data integration within Netbox. Manage customer-specific data sets and ensure consistency across platforms. Secondary Responsibilities (Preferred/Optional): Integrate Netbox and reservation tools with Arista Validated Designs (AVD) . Use AVD for network configuration and automation. Build network templates for campus deployments and single-switch configurations. Write Python scripts for automation, integration, and workflow improvements. Develop scalable automation pipelines using Ansible and Jinja templates .
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in network management or a related role. Demonstrated expertise in EfficientIP (EIP) and Netbox configuration and synchronization. Proficiency in Linux administration and PostgreSQL . Strong understanding of IPAM concepts and hierarchical network designs. Experience working with REST APIs and tool integrations. Familiarity with identity-based networking and access control is a plus.
Bonus:
Experience with AVD, Python scripting, Ansible playbooks, and Jinja templating.
