Network Operations Center Operator Community Broadband Networks (“CBN”) Geneva Geneva, NY 14456 Job Description Community Broadband Networks (“CBN”) Geneva is a NY Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Operator to join our growing team! General Description:
MUST BE TECHNICALLY MINDED, DETAIL-ORIENTED, AND ABLE TO MULTI-TASK IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT.
Monitor network infrastructure, equipment, and systems for performance, reliability, and uptime Respond to network alerts and service outages in real time Create and manage service tickets for issues affecting customers or network performance Coordinate with field technicians for diagnostics and incident resolution Escalate critical issues to senior technical staff when needed Perform system health checks and routine maintenance tasks Maintain accurate logs of network events, outages, and service impacts Provide basic troubleshooting support and remote diagnostics Participate in network audits and performance reviews Maintain up-to-date documentation for network operations Perform other duties as assigned to support network and system stability.
Requirements Profile:
Skills/Abilities:
Experience with network concepts (IP, routing, switching, wireless technologies) Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Ability to use network monitoring tools and dashboards Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in high-pressure situations Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and ticketing or CRM systems Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and on a team Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, or on-call (if required) Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications 1-2 years of experience in IT, networking, or technical support preferred Experience with WISP or ISP environments a plus Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) a plus but not required
Valid Driver’s License Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Work in a Network Operations Center environment based in Geneva, NY Work 8-hour shifts (M-F), with potential for rotating shifts, weekend or after-hours coverage Must be able to sit at a desk and monitor systems for extended periods

Full-time Pay:
$50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
