Senior Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Philadelphia, PA.

Summary:

The Senior Network Engineer plays a critical role in the design, implementation, documentation, and support of the Firm’s IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects-from planning and design to deployment and ongoing operations. As a key member of the Technical Operations team, the Senior Network Engineer ensures the reliability, scalability, and performance of the Firm’s core systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Senior Network Engineer will lead the implementation and support of enterprise infrastructure, including LAN/WAN networks, unified communications, virtualization platforms, messaging systems, and disaster recovery solutions
• Maintain deep technical expertise in the Firm’s applications, protocols, and systems architecture
• Participate in the planning, design, and execution of firm-wide IT initiatives, including vendor selection and service integration
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure performance, cost-efficiency, and flexibility
• Develop and execute test plans to validate system performance, security, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness
• Provide Tier 3 technical support and serve as a subject matter expert for complex infrastructure issues
• As a Senior Network Engineer, you will mentor and guide junior technical staff, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development
• Contribute to operational planning, including system upgrades, migrations, and maintenance schedules
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
• Operate in a hybrid work environment

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, MCSE, Azure Administrator) preferred
• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in: Enterprise LAN/WAN deployment and troubleshooting; Wireless LAN implementation and support; Security infrastructure management; Microsoft Exchange administration; Azure Cloud Services
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to manage complex IT environments and projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to collaborate across teams and with stakeholders
  The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.

We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
