Overview:
This role is to serve as a LAN Lead for a larger team that has the objective to support wired and wireless LAN functions by providing skills and expertise in tel engineering and operational support of current and new technologies to the Local Area Network (LAN). The LAN Lead will work under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion. The LAN Lead will develop specifications for simple to moderatelyplex problems. In addition, coordinate with the PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
Key Responsibilities:
The Contractor shall assist in coordinating with J6 and other agencies on the following:
- Assist Network Engineering team with equipment lifecycle planning and installation,
as well as development of technical specifications for procurement of Enterprise LAN
equipment - Coordinate with the Network Engineering team for the placement and cabling of LAN
equipment within the DLA enclave - Development of market research for new equipment and provide rmendations
to Government POC - Provide input on LAN designs and architecture as required
- Perform lab testing of LAN equipment
- Provide knowledge transfer to the NTS-LAN government staU
- Track assigned projects, provide regular updates to the Task Order Project
- Manager (TOPM) and Government POC
- Attend meetings regarding LAN support and assigned projects
- EUectively task, track, monitor and report on tickets, projects, and special
assignments within their area of responsibility
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or Five (5) years of progressive LAN experience including at least two projects in
technical areas included in the Statement of Work Task Area 1 Section 4.
1 a. At least
one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years.
Required Certifications:
Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority. DoD
