About This Role:
As a Sr Engineer at Windstream, you will be responsible for leading and executing technical projects and strategies to ensure the highest levels of performance and reliability of our network services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement engineering solutions that support Windstream’s infrastructure and customer needs. You will leverage your extensive experience in engineering to drive innovations, optimize operations, and resolve complex issues.
About This Role:
Design, develop, and maintain network architectures, including both hardware and software components, to support business objectives and SLAs.
Conduct in-depth analyses of engineering systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
Lead project teams in the deployment of new technologies and the upgrade of existing systems, ensuring minimal impact on services.
Collaborate with other departments to understand requirements and provide engineering support for customer-facing products and services.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, operating procedures, and service records.
Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and support to foster skills development and professional growth.
Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within Windstream. Do You Have? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the telecommunications or network services industry
Strong technical knowledge of network infrastructure, IP networking, and telecommunications systems
Proven ability to lead projects and teams in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
