Modis is seeking multiple Windows Operators for contractopportunities in Rockland County, NY. Modis is seeking multiple Windows Operator to work in a highlycreative, dynamic and innovative team environment where you willwork closely with various groups including system administration,application development, and network design. Our client’steam designs, implements, and supports procedures on differenthardware platforms that make up the company’s computer environment.
You will also be involved in special projects such as designing,testing, and implementing processes that the operations staffrequires. As a Windows Operator your responsibilities will also include:
- Providing comprehensive disaster recovery, emergency actionoperations in a multi-site operations process
- Maintaining technology infrastructure, providing operationalstability through the use of the following tools, policies,processes, and procedures: o Monitoring through HP Operations Manager/Openview version 8.
X &9.X. Other monitoring tools utilized include Splunk and Nagios o BMC BladeLogic/Control M scripting, scheduling, and patchingtechnologies o Virtual (VMWare) operational environments o Microsoft/Windows Internals tools o Tape and disk backup solution and technologies like NetBackup andAvamar
- Responding to L1 & L2 type issues within a MS Windows serverenvironment
- Resolving incidents impacting hosts or environments
- Enforcing change management and compliance processes
- Working in a shift environment that operates 24×7; first shiftduring training and typically third shift after coming up to speedon the environment and proprietary technologies.
Required skills and experience:
- 5 Years IT experience with emphasis on Microsoft Windows Server2003, and 2008(R2) Operating Systems
- 5+ years knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, IIS, and otherintegration technologies
- 3-5 years of operational knowledge of RedHat Linux (serverbased)
- Sound working knowledge of network infrastructure and operations,including switching, routing, and TCP/IP (v.4)
- Clusters and Load-Balancer technologies
- HP Secure Insight Management (SIM) & HP VCAgent technologies
- Experience with VB and PowerShell scripting
- Experience with HP Operations Manager / Openview, BladeLogic,VMWare
- Sound working knowledge of Internet/intranet technologiesincluding security features
- Sound working and operating experience in maintaining andsupporting MS SQL Server 2005 & 2008
- Sound working knowledge of NAS and SAN
- Comprehensive working knowledge with MS SharePoint, OneNote, andother Microsoft Office Professional tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,etc.)
