Through the useof pioneering techniques in distributed computing, developers areable to durably store their data on Amazon’s proven computinginfrastructure to achieve virtually limitless storage capacity atminimal cost. Amazon S3 provides a simple web services interfacethat can be used to store and retrieve any amount of data, at anytime, from anywhere on the web. It gives any developer access tothe same highly scalable, reliable, secure, fast, inexpensiveinfrastructure that Amazon uses to run its own global network ofweb sites. The service aims to maximize benefits of scale and topass those benefits on to developers. The S3 Engineering team isresponsible for maintaining and improving our government customer’scloud storage solutions by reacting to operational incidents whilealso delivering new and exciting S3 features. We’re looking for anEngineer to join our team and be based in Seattle, WA. We’relooking for innovative engineers for the largest storage service onthe internet. This position is perfect for professionals interestedin creating tools and automation so that engineers can be ashands-off as possible. We want our service to be as automated aspossible and that can only be done by having engineers whounderstand how to think big, simplify solutions to complex, neverbefore seen problems; all while ensuring that the customercontinues to have the best experience possible. We are seeking anengineer who is focused on operational excellence andtroubleshooting complex system operations. They should also have agood understanding of Linux, networking and general knowledge ofcloud services. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of systems administrationexperience (Linux and/or Networking).
• Strong debugging andsystems analysis skills to be able to identify and quicklyresolve/mitigate issues.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills at alllevels, from application to network to host.
• Experience workingwith at least one scripting language.
• Current, active USGovernment Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years experience with cloud computingtechnologies.
• In lieu of above relevant work experience, a degreein Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
