Network Permitting Specialist
Location:
Columbia, MD Job Responsibilities:
Prepare, submit, and monitor zoning and permitting applications.
Collaborate with the design team to facilitate permit drawings and construction documents.
Provide timely system updates and maintain effective communication with all customers.
Serve as the lead during weekly customer meetings, comprehending and articulating details of state & local telecommunication municipal codes.
Act as a liaison between internal teams to ensure compliance with general conditions of approvals at permit and construction stages.
Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, representing our client at municipal meetings to obtain all required zoning approvals.
Skills Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school will be considered in lieu of experience.
Minimum of two years of experience working in a municipality in a Planning, Zoning, and/or Land Use capacity or Wireless Industry.
Knowledge of applicable planning, zoning codes, and regulations affecting site development.
Experience in presenting and speaking to the public and governmental entities.
Familiarity with requirements for zoning applications and supporting documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
