Job Description
Installs and supports classified and unclassified Department of Defense local area networks and/or wide area networks. Shall be responsible for the on-going administration and support of particular LAN or WAN. Familiar with standard network / communications concepts, practices, and procedures in a high-performance computing center. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Typically works from specific guidance from a more senior Network Admin / Analyst.
Education and Experience:
Preferred , B.S. degree in engineering or computer science or information systems and 3-5 years of directly related experience Certification /
Compliance Requirements:
Shall meet
DOD 8570
requirements as an Information Assurance Technical, Level I (IAT-II). Shall be appropriately certified prior to any contract performance in support of IA functions. Shall be designated as an IAT-II due to limited privileged- level access to control, manage, and / or configure Information Systems and devices, with very limited (single devices) or no IA device access or management. Shall have a favorable review of local personnel, base / military, medical, and other security records as appropriate; and initiation of a Nation Agency Check with Local Agency and Credit Checks (NACLC) or favorable review of SF85P and Supplemental Questionnaire. This position requires a SECRET Security Clearance. This is a full-time position located in Huntsville, AL.
