Job Description

Overview i3 is currently seeking a Mid-level Systems Administrator to support the IBCS Team located onsite at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing high-level technical support with systems administration, system integration, and field service engineering for the IBCS Program. The position involves collaborating with military and civilian personnel to ensure the seamless deployment, operation, and maintenance of the IBCS system. The candidate can expect up to 25% travel within the continental United States. Responsibilities This position will provide technical support services in support of maintaining and sustaining fielded IBCS systems, equipment and software at all identified locations Represent the IBCS program as the primary point of contact Integrate and maintain systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and integrate

products with IBCS systems Assist in the emplacement and initialization of the IBCS system Advise customers on the capabilities and limitations of the IBCS system Assist in troubleshooting IBCS hardware, software, and networks Provide feedback to program leadership regarding system performance and end-user feedback Perform operator and maintainer tasks on equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software Conduct training when needed Support Program Help Desk as required Conduct scheduled equipment inventories Qualifications Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree. 3+ years of systems administration experience required. Proficienct with command line Linux. Security+ certification or the ability to obtain within six months of hire date. CompTIA Linux + certification or the ability to obtain within six months of hire date. Experience troubleshooting of computer systems and network. Experience troubleshooting tactical networks preferred. Experience with command-and-control systems such as IBCS, JBCP, C2PC, CPCE or other similar products preferred. The ideal candidate has held the Army MOS of 14E, 140K, 14G/H or 140A or

USMC MOS 72XX.

Active DoD Secret security clearance highly preferred, Interim clearance required to start. U.S. Citizenship is required. Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of office administration and procedures. Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
