Birmingham, AL (Hybrid) Our client is seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to join their dynamic and innovative team. This role is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively manage and resolve Exadata hardware malfunctions
Execute Exadata patch applications in a timely and efficient manner
Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide off-hours support
Respond to and manage customer requests with professionalism and urgency
Investigate and troubleshoot performance issues, providing solutions to enhance system efficiency

Essential Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of comprehensive Exadata support experience
Proficiency in full stack patching of the Exadata appliance
Extensive experience in diagnosing and resolving performance issues
Comprehensive understanding of the process for replacing failed components of the appliance
At least 5 years of Oracle DBA experience
Proven experience in supporting

Oracle Recovery Appliances Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with Golden Gate
Proficiency in ServiceNow
Previous experience in a financial institution is highly desirable

Educational and Professional Requirements:

High School Diploma with Oracle certification or a Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
