Job Description

The Network Administrator III (WAN) will support the United States Air Force

AFINC III

program under the 26th Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS). The Network Administrator III will be responsible for advanced enterprise WAN design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting to ensure network availability, security, and performance for Air Force global operations.

In this role you will:
  • Analyzes and simulates network traffic to aide in problem resolution or to test updated configurations in virtual or physical lab environments
  • Monitors system utilization and circuit bandwidth then reports anomalies to Government team leads
  • Develop, execute, modify or remove scripts to assist in automation of tasks, as possible
  • Review and document all workload activities per incident or change request to eliminate re-work or for auditing/investigation purposes
  • Notify appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC), in writing, within 4 hours for all accountable item moves
  • Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair Required Clearance Must currently possess a verifiable DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility. Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
  • 7+ years’ experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches
  • Deep level of understanding/experience with enterprise level network architectures/configurations is required and Software Defined Networking (SDN) is desired
  • Must possess one of the following: CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise, or CCNP Service Provider IAT-II compliant through one of the following professional certifications: o CompTIA Security+ o GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) o SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner) o CCNA Security o CySA+ (Certified Cybersecurity Analyst) o CND (Certified Network Defender) Operations support is performed in shifts with day shift beginning at 6:30am and finishing at 2:30pm (lunch is optional and extends work day).

Swing/afternoon shift begins at 2:30 and finishes at 10:30pm (no lunch). Night shift begins at 10:30pm and concludes at 6:30am the next morning. Currently two day shifts and one afternoon shift are open. C2 Essentials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
