Full-Time | Onsite Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled IT Systems Administrator who will also serve as the primary Help Desk point of contact . This hybrid role is responsible for managing and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring network and system reliability, while also providing first- and second-line support for employees. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-oriented, and comfortable juggling a wide variety of technical issues—from configuring Active Directory to troubleshooting a laptop or supporting a new software rollout.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Administration Administer and maintain servers (Windows/Linux), network devices, and virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Monitor and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file systems, and Group Policy. Maintain and update IT infrastructure documentation and system configurations. Manage backups, disaster recovery planning, and endpoint security. Implement and manage patching policies, antivirus updates, and vulnerability remediation. Collaborate on infrastructure upgrades, including cloud integrations (e.g., Azure, AWS). Monitor network and system performance using appropriate tools. Help Desk & End-User Support Serve as Tier 1 & Tier 2 support for hardware/software issues. Support users with desktops, laptops, printers, phones, mobile devices, and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom). Maintain the IT ticketing system and ensure timely resolution and documentation of issues. Maintain Verizon Wireless Business account and deployment of wireless devices. Onboard and offboard employees, including provisioning accounts and hardware. Train staff on IT policies, security awareness, and common tools. Document troubleshooting steps and maintain a knowledge base. Required Skills & Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in IT system administration and/or help desk roles. Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and networking fundamentals. Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, cloud services, and endpoint management tools. Familiarity with ITSM or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ManageEngine, Zendesk). Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications Certifications:
CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, or equivalent. Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash). Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices. Experience supporting hybrid or remote work environments.
