Arista, Netgear switches, Watchguard firewalls. You can learnthis… Successful candidate will be strong in critical thinking,has done some design and is a problem solver. Troubleshooting layer3 level is a big plus. The SNA shall lead moderately complex network projects or phases ofa large project. She/he shall coordinate work activities for asmall group of technical/professional employees, or manages amoderately large, complex function. The SNA shall provide technicalguidance and leadership; determines deliverable and work schedules.
She/he shall act as Offeror’s representative to customer technicalpersonnel while leading Offeror’s network requirements analysisactivities, as well as Offeror’s maintenance and/or upgrades tocustomer network operations. The SNA shall be responsible forensuring Offeror meets established network deliverable deadlinesand performance standards. SNA shall have demonstrated pastperformance of leading teams of personnel with NetworkAdministrator skills. SNA shall have senior level engineeringknowledge in design, documentation and implementation of allNetwork Administrator skillsets. The SNA shall support the unitwith other duties as assigned within the scope of work.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Computer Science, Engineering,or related field, with 6(six) or more years of work experience inmonitoring, managing and administering internet protocol (IP)networks in a production environment or, in lieu of education, ten(10) years of experience. If utilizing in lieu of education, allexperience must be at or above the position level describedabove.
SKlLL Level:
At a minimum, the Network Administrator, senior level,shall have demonstrated experience in: A relevant industrycertification, such as COMPTIA Network+, Cisco Certified NetworkAdministrator (CCNA), etc. Experience leading teams of personnel with Network Administratorskills Proficiency designing, building, and maintaining physical andvirtual networking devices, encryption (experience with Taclanespreferred), Firewall devices and rules, and networking Layer 2 and3 devices and configurations Expertise researching, evaluating, testing, recommending,integrating deploying, and installing network equipment andsolutions to meet objectives and requirements to include newtechnologies. Ability to confer with and advise management, engineers, seniornetwork administrators, and system administrators on themanagement, functional capabilities and enhancement of supportednetworks. Demonstrated ability to develop, test, document, and implementchanges to communications networks to ensure efficient operation,interoperability with supported and affiliated tools, systems andnetworks, and maximized user experience. Development of automated methods to deploy switches and firewallswith consistent results using applicable technologies for variousmanufacturer products. Ability to manage, train and developing skills of junior networkadministrators. Proven ability to proactively troubleshoot, resolve, and providetechnical assistance related to networking issues in support ofmission objectives and customer issues and requirements. Experience conducting reverse engineering of networks, producingdocumentation, and the ability explain results and potential areasof improvement and optimization. Resolve interoperability problems to maintain connectivitythroughout the network Analyze traffic information and provide analyses to justify networkoptimization and reconfiguration Provide technical assistance, training and system documentation forusers to promote efficient operation of communication networks Evaluate and recommend products and services from vendors Conduct reverse engineering of networks, provide documentation, andexplain results. Must have Top Secret clearance with the ability to sit for a CIPoly.
