Building Systems Specialist AssociatesMD Medical Group 4780 Davie Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314 Summary As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your core skills in mechanical knowledge and electrical systems will be vital for performing routine maintenance and repairs. Your expertise in HVAC and plumbing will enhance our operational efficiency, while your premium skills in programmable logic controllers and hydraulics will support advanced troubleshooting. With a focus on customer service and safety, you will contribute significantly to maintaining a high-quality environment for all building occupants. Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed, involving the following daily: Performing preventative maintenance Conducting routine inspections of offices and equipment Identify and correct hazards work areas Report all major repairs to Maintenance Supervisor General repairs and upkeep Perform minor fixes such as repairing and painting walls, replace ceiling tiles and flooring Installing blinds, wall décor, and door locks Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment Transport furniture and equipment to other location or storage facility Maintaining building cleanliness interior and exterior Electrical and plumbing Repair/replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and electrical outlets Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues, including leaks, and clogs Repair/install faucets, flush valves etc. A/C and heating systems Perform monthly maintenance of AC units Troubleshoot if not working Service/replace thermostats Requirement and skills Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems Experience using hand and electrical tools Must have own tools Speak and comprehend English Reliable vehicle – SUV or pick-up truck preferred
