12 Months Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Firewall Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upgrading, deploying, and implementing firewalls, as well as hands-on experience with VPNs and a working knowledge of ICS protocols. This role requires a professional who is local to the Tampa area and willing to work on-site at least three days per week. Candidates should be comfortable working after hours (around 7 PM EST or MT) at least once a week for implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

Support firewall tickets and investigations. Troubleshoot firewall issues and create firewall rules as needed. Implement new VPNs and troubleshoot existing VPNs. Assist in multiple large-scale firewall upgrade projects. Collaborate with IT security and network teams to ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, NERC CIP). Work flexible hours to support after-hours implementations.

Required Experience and Skills:

3+ years of experience upgrading, deploying, and implementing new firewalls. Proficiency in VPN creation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of ICS protocols (e.g., ICS, Modbus, CIP). Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., SOX, NERC CIP). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

Hands-on experience with Check Point Firewalls . Fundamental understanding of routing and switching .
