Job Summary:
This role includes oversight of cloud services, on-premises environments, Microsoft 365 environments, Azure DevOps, and Linux and Windows servers. The candidate will troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize infrastructure performance, and lead IT initiatives.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 2-3 years of experience with: Windows Server (2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022) IIS Administration Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Samba/CIFS file sharing, NTFS permissions) Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP (highly desired) Microsoft software administration (highly desired) 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure/network environments for operations, support, maintenance, and administration. 3-5 years of experience supporting middleware (API Management, IT Service Automation, batch job services – highly desired). 5-8 years of professional experience in information systems engineering or related field.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, Windows Server products, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Platform, and Linux (Redhat and Ubuntu). Proficiency in networking principles, cloud-based network architectures, and Linux administration. Ability to troubleshoot, document, and automate administrative tasks. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Adaptable to shifting priorities and able to handle high-pressure situations. Demonstrated problem-solving and research capabilities.
Primary Job Duties/Tasks:
Recommend and implement server and software upgrades. Perform systems monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Establish systems by evaluating network performance issues and planning equipment selection, installation, configuration, and testing. Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, git repositories, and pipelines. Recommend and assist with building and hosting complex application solutions. Deploy, manage, and optimize Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 services. Support other IT staff, including developers, as needed. Find opportunities to refactor solutions for better performance, cost, and efficiency. Build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment. Other duties as assigned.
