Join Our Team at Tallahassee State College Systems Administrator Technician Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025 , is excited to announce a full-time opening for the position of Systems Administrator Technician – P02749 in our Information Technology Department. What You’ll Do We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and administering Microsoft Intune to ensure seamless application deployments, print configuration settings, and the implementation of Windows updates and other operating system changes. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of device management and security. Specifically, this position will be responsible for assisting System Administrators with daily configuration changes in Microsoft cloud products such as Microsoft Entra, Exchange Online, Azure, etc. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of device management and security. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for:

Application Deployment:

Plan, test, and deploy applications using Microsoft Intune to ensure smooth and efficient rollouts across the organization.

Entra Active Directory Management:

Manage the lifecycle of Endpoint devices, manage dynamic and static groups for users and devices and manage conditional access policies for increased security.

Print Settings Configuration:

Configure and manage print settings to ensure optimal performance and accessibility for all users.

Windows Updates:

Push and manage Windows updates to maintain system security and performance. Including Windows Version Releases such as 24H2.

Operating System Changes:

Implement and manage changes to operating systems to ensure compatibility and functionality and increased security.

Device Management:

Monitor and manage devices enrolled in Microsoft Intune to ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve issues related to application deployments, print settings, Windows updates, and operating system changes.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and reliability.

Continuous Development:

Researches and recommends innovative approaches to simplify and/or automated new and existing processes/tasks. Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success.

Our ideal candidate will have:

High school diploma. Three (3) years of related work experience, or a combination of education and experience. An associate’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and may substitute for four years of experience. Experience with Microsoft Intune or similar Device Management platform. Familiarity with configuring print settings and managing Windows updates. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively collaborate with other IT team members and stakeholders.
