Job Description

Computer Operations Admin Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County 111 NW 1st St Ste 710, Miami, FL 33128 Overview This is advanced systems technical work in a centralized data center supporting critical infrastructure hardware and software. Incumbent will be planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computer and network hardware, and related hardware and software systems in a centralized data processing operations environment with remote operational sites. The employee is required to be technically proficient to maintaining business continuity within the technical environment. Required Skills and Qualifications Completion of 60 semester credits to include 15 semester credits in a computer related field and a minimum of five (5) year of work experience Completion of a technical vocational or trade school program and a minimum of five (5) year of experience High school diploma or GED, with technical certifications, and a minimum of five (5) year of work experience. Work experience to include the planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of desktop, workstation, and server computers, storage arrays and related equipment is required. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Provides senior level technical support for specialized computer system(s) and peripheral equipment. Supports critical infrastructure systems such as Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Office365, Hypervisor Systems (VM), server clusters, network/server performance monitoring systems, backup systems, and desktop update systems, etc. Ensure computer systems and peripherals software are up to date (upgrades, patches, firmware, etc.) Implement Group policies and develop PowerShell scripts. Utilizes performance monitoring and diagnostic utilities and software to isolate the nature of system failures or problems. Solves complex problems or situations that might require deviation from standard operating procedures. Conducts capacity planning and analysis of computer systems. Configures and performs backups, server maintenance and server retirement processes; installs and reformats server operating systems; tests new software applications and operating systems for compatibility and deployment. Configures and manages storage unit/array for current storage and projected storage needs Identifies, implements, and ensures compliance with Enterprise Security Office standards and industry standards. Contacts and coordinates with outside service providers for problem resolution and configuration of environments. Requests quotes for equipment and accessories; tracks and maintains inventory for techs and users. Installs and configures server room environment monitoring system to alert Information Services (IS) staff to any issues. Defines system objectives and prepares standard operating procedures. Develops and functions as a lead worker and may supervise operations personnel on a day-to-day as required. Performs other related duties as required.
