Systems Administrator Senior

HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Operation & Intelligence warfighters will have a robust Common Operating Picture (COP)
Sys Adm will have interactions with the team to achieve the mission
Collaborate with the team to resolve challenges
Shift work may be required to support real-world or contingency operations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education:

Technical Training, Certification(s): DoD 8570 IAT Level II (eg, Security + and a Computing Environment (eg, Red Hat Linux)

Required Experience:

3+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills:

Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades
Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving system hardware, software, and networking
issues
Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and
hardware
Conducting server builds
Establishes complex operational databases, software configuration control and system interfaces for computer systems related to customer requirements
Maintains file servers, network access; documents, analyzes and troubleshoots systems anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance
Managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems and performs system capacity analysis and planning
Documents and maintains servers, creates monitoring reports and logs, and ensures functionality of system links
Monitors systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establishes back-ups, and monitors systems security
Applies the appropriate OS and Application security patches in a timely manner
Supervises technical staff; develops and coordinates project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the customer organization
Performs multiple tasks concurrently and responds to emergency situation effectively
Plans, executes, and adheres to backup policies and Disaster Recovery procedures
Follows Authorized Service Interruptions procedures when appropriate

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communications skills.
Active Directory, GPO, and account maintenance experience.

The likely salary range for this position is $94,350 – $127,650. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
