Network Admin – Hiring this week! 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Miami, FL 33130 We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our organization’s network infrastructure. This role involves configuring and supporting LANs, WANs, VPNs, firewalls, and other network devices, while ensuring optimal network performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) Monitor network performance and proactively identify issues or bottlenecks Troubleshoot and resolve network outages, connectivity issues, and hardware failures Manage IP addressing schemes, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and access controls Perform regular network upgrades and patches Maintain network documentation and diagrams Collaborate with IT support staff and other departments to resolve network-related issues Conduct network capacity planning and recommend infrastructure improvements Implement and enforce network policies and best practices Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in network administration or a related role Strong understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other enterprise-grade networking equipment Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security tools Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server environments Network certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or similar preferred Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and organizational abilities Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.) Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) Understanding of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) Knowledge of network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.) If you feel you possess these skills please send us your resume today!
