Local •CACI is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Network Administrator Shift Lead – Senior to join our team to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award. The Network Administrator Shift Lead will provide senior technical leadership for crucial enterprise and tactical network infrastructure supporting

USSOUTHCOM.

This role executes delegated decision-making authorities for network operations, contributes to establishing the vision and strategic direction for all networks, policies, resources, and supports risk-related decisions affecting mission success, serving as the primary leader in network administration across the platform. This technical senior leader will manage a multi-disciplinary team of network engineers and administrators. Responsibilities include understanding complex network technologies, supporting mission scoping, identifying network terrain, troubleshooting connectivity, managing network devices, and maintaining sensor grids. The Network Administrator Shift Lead coordinates network response efforts and manages operational workflows to enhance network performance and service delivery. They ensure efficient resolution of network issues while maintaining system Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA). This role requires executive availability for leadership oversight and plays a crucial part in ensuring total visibility of all network operations, support activities, and changes across

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of network administrators during assigned shifts, coordinate network response efforts and manage operational workflows Provide situational awareness to leadership regarding network status and issues, ensure efficient resolution of complex network problems Maintain system Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) • Oversee network infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and security implementations Develop and implement network policies and procedures Monitor network performance and capacity planning Collaborate with other IT teams to improve overall service delivery, while mentoring and training junior network administrators

Connectivity Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and repair network connectivity problems across LAN and WAN environments (KSAT 8078, 8187). Troubleshoot computer software and hardware issues impacting network access (KSAT 4360)

Network Infrastructure Management:

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software (Network OSs). Manage cable infrastructure (KSAT 4499, 4360, 4609). Perform router IOS backup, recovery, and upgrades (KSAT 4664)

Network Monitoring Support:

Characterize network traffic for trends and patterns (KSAT 4201). Potentially assist with SIEM integration and log analysis related to network devices (KSAT 4365) Deploy and maintain distributed network sensor grids, configure security devices, including firewalls and

Implementation:

Apply Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) upgrades and configurations to network devices (KSAT 4606, 4532). Maintain documentation for network configurations and report infrastructure status, consult with stakeholders on network design and maintenance, and collaborate with internal teams on security improvements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field 5-8 years of Network Administration One of the following certifications: CCNP Security, FSCP, PCNSA, or PCNSE Experience working within DoD or Federal government environments, particularly supporting CSSP or CPT operations, is highly desirable. Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, STIGs, and network architecture principles. Expert-level knowledge of computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model), routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), switching, VLANs, VPNs, and WAN technologies (KSAT 22, 4529, 4594) Expert knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices Ability to work rotating shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with DoD cybersecurity policies and environments Familiarity with DoD STIGs and network architecture principles Experience supporting CSSP or CPT operations Proficiency with specific vendor technologies (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks) Experience with network monitoring tools and IDS/IPS concepts – ________________________________________________________________________________________
