must possess expert knowledge, skill, or ability to perform the operion with the installion, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, flight check and certificion of Standard Terminal Automion Replacement System (STARS). This discipline is heavily engaged in operions and maintenance of industrial computer systems in the coopere environment, industrial systems to include both hardware and software applicions. In addition, this position maintains other electrical/mechanical equipment/systems necessary to ensure reliability of facilities on and off airports. Contacts are both internal and external. Often represents the organizion as the primary technical point of contact on projects, programs, and other work of activities to coordine and implement plans or to obtain informion and resolve problems. Meets and consults with representives of external organizions such as DOD, airport management, contractors, utility companies and foreign governments to resolve problems of concern. Develops White Papers for the recommendion of enhancing efficiency of the systems by modificion and applicion of existing or emerging technology.
